What can YOU do?
Our Members and their families and friends put a lot of work into the events and fundraising which help so many good causes. If you would like to support these efforts, or even take part in some way, there will be lots of opportunities for you to help and we’d love to hear from you. Take a look at these options….
If you would like to support one of our fundraising events or perhaps take part in a community competition, keep an eye on our Events page and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for news of current and planned events.
It is now possible for you to donate to our Charitable Trust (a registered charity) directly through this website – see below – or you can get in touch via the Contact Us page for details of other ways to donate. Rotary’s worldwide reputation means that you can be sure all the Trust’s funds will be responsibly and effectively used, either by distribution to deserving charities and good causes, or by funding of Rotary’s own community and education projects.
Share a skill
If you have a special skill, for example in areas such as IT, media, journalism, etc, which could help our activities to be more effective and if you may be prepared to share some of your time and expertise on an ad hoc or regular basis, we would be very pleased to hear from you via the Contact Us page.
Be a friend
If, as an individual or a business, you would like to develop a continuing relationship with our Rotary Club and its work, you can become a ‘Friend of South Ribble Rotary Club’ and receive regular updates about our projects and events. Enquire about this via the Contact Us page.
Become an Associate Member
If you are interested in Rotary’s work and feel you might like to become involved but are not sure of the degree of commitment you can manage, you can put your toe in the water by becoming an Associate Member. This means you will be able to take part in the Club’s activities but without some of the rights or responsibilities of full membership. To find out more, arrange to have a chat about it by using the Contact Us page.
If you are looking for a way to ‘make a difference’, there is great satisfaction in helping the community as a Rotarian. Each Rotary Club works independently, so each Member has the opportunity to help shape the Club’s response to the needs of the community and to bring their own skills and experience to the tasks involved. Whether you feel ready to consider becoming a full Member or might perhaps prefer to have a go as an Associate Member, the first step is to get in touch via the Contact Us page and arrange to have an informal chat. You’ve nothing to lose and possibly a great deal to gain.
